Having a cold drink reduces our body core temperature. It also causes our blood vessels to constrict so the body spends valuable energy in bringing our core temperature back to normal. Not only do soft drinks offer no nutrition as they also contain harmful chemicals. Their high sugar content, high fructose corn syrup can cause diabetes and also affect the heart and liver. Preservatives like phosphoric acid can cause loss of bone and kidney disease, as well as citric acid, which causes severe dental erosion. The caramel color in cola and the chemicals in the container may cause cancer.

The summer reason has hit most of the parts of our country as it is challenging to keep yourself fit and healthy during the time of summers.

Both varieties of food which include healthy and unhealthy foods are available during summers to help us fight against the heat waves. One variety of healthy vegetables and fruits are available that will keep us hydrated during summers. Unhealthy food such as ice cream, cold drinks, sweet drinks, etc are also available which may give us relief from thirst and heat for a while but they leave a bad impact on our body for a long time.

A glass of cold water can be less attractive but is a much healthier and better choice over cold drinks in terms of survival which is always better to prevent than to cure.

1) Kidney Failure

Sweet sugar is not the reason for a failing kidney but artificial sweeteners are the main reasons. Hence consuming diet versions of coca-cola or some similar product have proved to produce more impairment than the sweet versions. Drinking soft drinks is nothing but it slowly moves towards good health to bad health and slow death.

2) Metabolism Level Decreases

A glass of warm water can speed up your rate of metabolism but it tastes awful after a workout session. A can of Coke can surely be tasty but it really decreases the rate of metabolism and also helps in destroying the fat-burning enzymes in ni time. Thus can of either diet coke or simple coca-cola after a workout, busy day is strictly not advisable.

3) Obesity And Diabetes

Obesity was never the main problem until the time when coca-cola was not introduced but with the advent of these products, a major portion of the population is turning obese which includes children as well as teenagers. Obesity is a disease that affects the heart, lungs, and also kidneys. Researchers have also been proving that obesity can also be the major cause to trigger cancer cells.

Similarly, patients with diabetes should never take beverages like Coke or Pepsi as it increases the level of sugar in the blood by twofold. Non- diabetic persons should avoid these drinks to keep diabetes away. Soft drinks will make you fat and you will also have to face various problems like obesity. Soft drinks contain sugar in large amounts which damage the pancreas that gives you the gift of diabetes.

4) Teeth And Bone Damage

The Ph level of coke is 3.2 which is high as this PH level decides the acidic nature of a liquid. Hence these beverages are acidic in nature and can also dissolve bones and enamel rapidly.

Drinking soft drinks increases the risk of osteoporosis and weak bones. When we drink soft drinks as it damages our teeth by removing tooth enamel.

5) Reproduction Problems

Research has shown that the cans of coke are coated with such chemicals that may lead to reproduction problems if you consume it regularly.

6) Liver Problems

Soft drink has high the risk of failure of the liver as it has been found that drinking large quantities of soft drinks causes and gifts us with the problem of liver cirrhosis to what the chronic alcoholics have. Cold drinks are full of empty calories and no nutritional values therefore, do not find any excuse to drink cold drinks.

7) Aggravates Migraine

Some studies have also proved that the consumption of cold water also worsens headaches as well as migraines. The pain can persist longer than five minutes in the mid frontal lobe and then followed into the occipital and bitemporal lobes of the brain in those participants when they gulped down cold water.
