Thibaut Courtois was born on May 11, 1992, in the Belgian town of Bree. He was raised by his family, Thierry Courtois, and his mother, Gitte Courtois. Since he was born in a sporty home where both parents were retired volleyball players, it was not unexpected that he became an athlete, just like his sisters, who regarded the same path as her parents and also played volleyball.
