Stephen Curry was born as his real name Wardell Stephen Curry II in Akron, Ohio on the 14th of March, 1988, but essentially grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. The oldest child of former NBA player Dell Curry, Curry learned the fundamentals of basketball by observing and practicing with his father.
