Seohyun was born on the 28th of June, 1991 in South Korea. His mother was a piano tutor and taught Seohyun to play the piano at the age of five. She connected to SM Entertainment and started training. In 2007, she was selected as a member of the girl’s group Girls Generation. She has made her musical debut as the central role of Karou in midnight sun based on the Japanese novel Taiyo no Uta 2010. She hosted the radio program chin radio from 2008 to 2010.
