Doja Cat Shares Hospital Photos, Reveals Raspy Voice After Tonsil Surgery

Doja Cat is updating fans after having tonsil surgery. The singer posted images on Twitter while lying in a hospital bed, informing her fans that she had already had her second operation due to an infection. The Grammy winner also shared a video of herself attempting to rap in her raspy voice. Several Doja Cat lovers wished her a fast recovery in the video.

Doja Cat initially revealed on Twitter last month that she underwent surgery to remove an infection from her left tonsil. She revealed in a series of blogs how her tonsils were infected before the Billboard Music Award (when she won four awards for top R&B album, top R&B artist, top R&B female artist, and top viral song) and what happened thereafter.

“My whole neck is f***ed, so I may have some awful news for you all shortly,” she said.”I was taking f***in’ antibiotics but forgot about them, and then I drank wine and vaped all day, and then I began getting a nasty-ass growth on my tonsil, so they had to perform surgery on it today,” she added in a second post. The singer said she was OK after sharing graphic details of her procedure. “I cried, and it hurt like hell, but I’m OK,” she said.

In response to a fan’s question about whether she expected to continue smoking, the rapper said that she was now attempting to stop smoking for good.”I’m giving up the vape for a bit, and hopefully, I won’t crave it after that,” Doja Cat said.

Doja Cat later came to the platform to inform us that she would need another operation and would have to cancel her next shows.”Hi, guys. I wanted you to hear it first from me. Unfortunately, I must undergo tonsil surgery as soon as possible. The procedure is straightforward, but the recovery will be lengthy due to swelling. She continued That means I’ll have to cancel my summer festival schedule as well as The Weeknd’s tour.”I’m heartbroken by this, but I can’t wait for it to heal so I can go back to making music and creating an experience for you.”
